Our Community Page
Chrissy and I consider our local community as extended family, they are all important us. We feel without these wonderful friends and customers we wouldn't be where we are today.
This page is dedicated to their kindness, kinship and amazing projects.
My wife Chrissy has what I can only describe as an obsession for balls of wool and would spot a wool shop from the car park. After many visits to wool shops we have, or may I say Chrissy has, a museum of one ball yarns. This in turn led to Chrissy always wanting a Wool Shop! I saw this and said to Chrissy what do you think? Reply was thats ok why? There is your wool shop! The rest is history, as the saying goes. (Click the link below to view our history in Photos.)
The cafe (then Bo Bo's) organised a summer fete and asked if we would like to join in!!!!
By this time we already had a well supported Knit n Natter group who ,as any yarn lover will tell you, needs no excuse to knit and they knitted and crocheted over 300 leaves, 80 flowers and displays for each of the business's in the courtyard at that time. Use the link below to view the photos.
This is the first of what we hope will be many creative competitions. It runs from November to February. The results are given out at the end of Febuary.
After the success of our first competition we looked forward to this one and we was not disappointed.
One Wednesday evening I remarked to our lesson group and then to our Saturday Knit n Natter group how about we do something for charity this year ?How about a 24 hour knit n crochet a thon? At that point the caterpillar was conceived! Dont forget to click the link to the photos.
This third competiton was as exciting as the others and the standard was as high as ever. Well done to all of the entrants.
Creations that have been knitted and crocheted by customers and friends of Chrissy's Crafts.
